MS Teams Breakout Rooms are Here!

Great news! The long-awaited breakout room function in MS Teams has arrived. Meeting organizers can now create up to 50 breakout rooms and choose to automatically or manually assign participants to rooms. Click here for instructions on how to get started.


Rotman Course Template Guide (Video)

As you may have noticed, a template has been applied to your Quercus course page(s) for the winter term. We've created this video to help familiarize you with its features. It walks through the template and explains how to customize certain elements, including the syllabus, the homepage, and more. You can find timestamps leading to specific topics in the description.


Welcoming Ivan Chow to the Rotman Digital Team!

We are very pleased to introduce Ivan Chow, Rotman Digital's new Instructional Designer! Ivan has PhD in French Linguistics from UofT. An accomplished educator, Ivan has taught linguistics courses at Western, McMaster, Brock, and UofT. He has significant experience in the development and administration of online courses and the implementation of educational technology. His current research focuses on the use of learning analytics to promote learner-centred skill development. Welcome Ivan!

Would you like to make your Quercus course page more interactive? Check out H5P's extensive catalogue of interactive content, all of which can be easily embeded into Quercus. You can add flashcards, image hotspots, memory games, and more. H5P is free once you've created an account. Click here to learn more.


Gender Analytics Specialization (Online Courses)

As you may have heard, Professor Sarah Kaplan and her team have launched an exciting new specialization on Coursera: Gender Analytics: Gender Equity through Inclusive Design. This series of courses teachers learners how to apply inclusive analytic techniques and human-centred design to generate innovative products, services, processes and policies using intersectional gender-based insights.
